Introduction to branch
In WEA Wanstead Branch the classes are held in Wanstead House, which has well appointed rooms and is set in pleasant surroundings. Wanstead House is opposite the green and within walking distance of Wanstead Park.
Wanstead tube station is on the Central Line. Several bus routes and the A12 are all within a five minute-walk.
The WEA is committed to promoting equality and diversity. All are Welcome.
Our Branch has successfully organised classes for 60 years at Wanstead House Community Association, The Green, Wanstead E11 2NT. We have, at present, 131 members who enjoy a variety of classes together with associated visits plus Summer outing by coach, fund raising events and additional Autumn and Spring talks.
At the start of every year we are pleased to welcome a number of new members, who are assured of a very warm and friendly reception.
We also produce two interesting newsletters, one in the Autumn and one in the Spring terms.

This popular club, formed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the WEA, meets at 12.30 on the first Monday of each month (except August) at the Odeon Cinema, High Road, South Woodford E18.
Films are chosen by the members and there are no advertisements or trailers at the performance.
