Trade Union Representative Courses

These courses are for general workplace reps, shop stewards or branch officers.

 ►UNION REPRESENTATIVES Stage 1 (LUL & General)

Find out what it means to be a union rep, how union democracy works, how to represent your members effectively, working in teams, how to deal with collective and individual issues.  

Duration:
12  Mondays   23rd September – 9th December; or
12  Mondays   from 13th January – 31st March; or
12  Fridays   from 2nd  May  -  18th July (not including bank holidays)

►STEPPING UP ADVANCED for Union Reps (LUL & General)

FOR MORE EXPERIENCED REPS: If you have completed a Stage 1 course within the last two years and would like to further your skills and knowledge, you can sign up for our advanced reps courses.

The course looks in more detail on the trade union context, planning, organising and campaigning, collective bargaining and employment law. 

Duration:
12 Tuesdays   24th September – 10th December; or
12  Tuesdays  from  14th   January – 1st  April; or
12  Tuesdays  from  29th April – 15th  July
