Introduction to branch
WEA Ruislip and Uxbridge Branch holds all classes at the Compass Theatre, Ickenham, easily accessible on the Uxbridge Branch of the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines.
The Branch is offering a range of classes including music appreciation course finding out about Mozart, the history of the gardens of great houses, and Spanish literature of the civil war. The Branch is also offering practical gardening - a how to do it course for home and allotment gardeners. And if you want to keep fit over the winter, then their Pilates course will be for you.
With digital photography and photoshop, poetry, literature, and history of art as well, there is something for everyone at this branch.

We held our well-attended 2006 AGM on 25 November at the Ickenham Village Hall where we were pleased to welcome Professor Heinz Wolff as our guest speaker. His topic, presented in his customary style, was the use of modern electronic technology to support older people in the community.
