Introduction to branch

WEA Ilford Branch is a lively branch offering five classes tutored by highly qualified and experienced tutors: a monthly evening class, at the newly refurbished Valentines Mansion, focusing on current London exhibitions; a new class on 18th Century London Houses and Squares and a monthly Saturday architectural walks class all exploit our closeness and easy access to Central London. Two long standing classes on history and literature are both enjoyable and challenging.

The branch has an annual coach trip, study weekend and social, and encourages group visits to venues studied to further students’ informal learning.

All our venues are served by good transport links.

The WEA is committed to promoting equality and diversity. All are Welcome
