Richmond
Introduction to branch
WEA Richmond Branch offer courses this year on a wide variety of subjects, from literature through to art and history, to philosophy and cosmology. For the first time in a long while we will be offering a language course – An Introduction to German. Courses are held in various parts of the area (which straddles the Thames). There are excellent train and bus links and good parking facilities. You don’t have to commit to any course before it starts; you can come to the first lecture for free and decide to enrol or not at the end of it.
The WEA is committed to promoting equality and diversity. All are Welcome.

Meetings
Our Annual General Meeting is usually held in the late Spring and is an opportunity to socialise with other WEA delegates as well as find out about future activities. Information on the AGM will be posted in Spring 2012. We also hold other educational meetings from time to time, such as a Christmas Shakespeare evening in December 2011.
Outings
The branch is planning three outings for Spring 2012:
Bletchley Park
Down House - home of Charles Darwin
The Banqueting House at Westminster
Outings are open to WEA Richmond members and their guests. Information about the outings will be posted here in the early Spring and announced in WEA classes closer to the time.
Other Information
Our venues are easy to locate, easy to get to by public transport, and accessible to all. However Richmond CVS is a bit tricky to find, so we include a map:
